Minera Yanacocha Pit Design

Cajamarca, Peru

Challenge:  Newmont required assistance with mine planning and general mine engineering support for its Yanacocha gold mine in Peru.

Solution:  Golder provided detailed pit design and sensitivity analysis, recommendations for optimization of mine equipment fleets, and equipment cost analysis and forecasting.

 

Gold Resources of Nevada LLC

Precious Metals Exploration Project

Nevada, United States

Challenge:  Gold Resources of Nevada LLC required assistance in evaluating and prioritizing prospective target areas in northern Nevada.

Solution:  golder conducted literature reviews and field investigations including property staking, geological mapping, and geochemical sampling.  Based on the results of these studies, Golder identified several high priority targets and proposed follow-up exploration drilling programs.
