Marston's Hardware/Software Capabilities
Marston applies the latest in Information Technology Systems to all projects by using state-of-the-art ITS, large volumes of data can be interpreted in a systematic approach. This allows our engineers to provide innovative solutions to any problem
Software utilized includes:
Marston is uniquely positioned in that it maintains an extensive suite of geological modeling and mine planning software and trained personnel to meet its client’s needs. Marston utilizes Mincom, Vulcan, Minex, GEMCOM and SurvCADD software and in addition is capable of converting grid based geological and mining surfaces created in other modeling and planning packages for examination and manipulation in the variety of software it maintains. Conversely, Marston is able to export data from its modeling packages so that the data can be imported into other software. Marston has utilized Mincom as its primary geological modeling, mine design and mine scheduling software for over 12 years and has numerous staff with particular expertise in its use.
Marston also utilizes ESRI ArcGIS mapping software to organize and manage data via a geodatabase. The geodatabase integrates data with a geographic component so that it may be visualized and analyzed. ArcGIS tools allows for quick and seamless integration of data from any coordinate projection system including aerial photographs, drill holes, geological mapping, government boundaries, national infrastructure, AutoCAD drawings, topography and USGS mapping. Marston also utilizes this software to present figures and drawings in its reports.
